1. The basic principle of slag splashing to protect the furnace
It is to use converter slag with high MeO content, spray high-pressure nitrogen onto the converter lining and then solidify on the lining, slow down the erosion rate of the lining bricks, and increase the furnace age of the converter. Slag blasting is a method developed by LTV's Indiana Port plant in 1991. Since the implementation of slag gunning in BOF converters, it has achieved the effect of gradually increasing the furnace age at low consumption of gunning linings, and produced three consecutive world lining service lives, and also broke the amazing record of 19,000 heats. , the plant has reduced production interruptions by 68 days per year from 1984 to 1994.
